Why you need it

This clutch cover (pressure plate assembly) supplies the clamping force that keeps your manual transmission moving. It presses the friction disc to the flywheel, sending engine power to the gearbox. Fresh spring pressure stops slip under load, smooths gear changes, and protects the flywheel from overheating—ideal for towing, off‑road, and daily use.

How it works ⚙️

Inside the housing, a diaphragm spring pushes the pressure plate against the disc. Press the pedal and the release bearing lifts the spring, freeing the disc so you can shift. A machined surface spreads force evenly, while heat‑resistant fingers and balanced construction reduce chatter and vibration.

What happens if it’s bad ⚠️

Common signs are RPM flare, burnt smell, slipping on hills, hard or noisy shifts, and shudder on take‑off. If the spring weakens or cracks, clamping force drops, causing rapid disc wear and possible flywheel damage. In severe cases you can lose drive completely and need a tow.

Install notes ?

Direct-fit OE height and bolt pattern. Always clean or resurface the flywheel, align the disc, and torque bolts in a star pattern. Best practice: replace disc, release bearing, and pilot bearing together for a full clutch restore.
