KIA: From Motorcycles to Cars, a Global Automotive Group

KIA car brand appeared in 1951 as a result of reorganization of KyungSung Precision Industry. Up until the 70's the company has been engaged in production of motorcycles and bicycles, and only after that it was refocused on the passenger cars and cargo automotive equipment. In 1999 the company was acquired by KIA Korean automaker Hyundai Motor, resulting in forming of Hyundai Kia Automotive group.

KIA Motors Company has an extensive dealer network, which includes more than 190 countries, selling cars in more than five thousand stores worldwide. In Russia KIA Motors vehicles are ranked among the three top-selling foreign cars in recent years.
