Intelligent 4WD Control Module for Toyota SUVs

This electronic unit is the brain of your 4x4 system. It decides when and how the front and rear axles get torque, so your SUV keeps grip on snow, mud, or gravel. How it works

It reads wheel speed, throttle, steering angle, and transfer case position sensors. Through CAN it talks to ABS/VSC. Then it commands the shift motor and clutch pack to select 2H/4H/4L and lock/unlock the center diff. It constantly self-checks and stores fault codes for diagnostics.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

4WD, VSC, or ATRAC lights may appear. The truck can be stuck in 2WD or full-time 4WD, low range won’t engage, or shifts feel harsh. You may get driveline binding, delayed engagement, clicking from the transfer case, and DTCs (e.g., C12xx). Some vehicles enter fail-safe and limit torque.

Install tips

Match part code, inspect connectors, disconnect battery. After install, perform zero-point and transfer case relearn if required.
