The condenser removes heat from the refrigerant. Without it, the system cannot turn hot gas into a cool liquid. Correct heat rejection protects the compressor, improves fuel efficiency, and delivers cold air at the vents even in traffic.

How it works

Hot, high‑pressure vapor from the compressor enters the fin-and-tube core. Airflow from vehicle speed and the fan pulls heat out. The refrigerant condenses into a high‑pressure liquid, then flows to the expansion device to create cold evaporator temps. Some versions include an integrated receiver/drier to trap moisture.

What happens if it’s damaged ⚠️
