Rear Right Door Lock Latch & Actuator

This rear-right door latch actuator is the part that lets your door lock, unlock, and stay safely closed. It is needed for daily security, child safety, and correct central locking operation. When you press the key fob or door switch, the actuator’s small electric motor moves internal gears and a linkage that drives the latch pawl, switching between lock/unlock while keeping the striker firmly held.

How It Works ⚙️

The latch mechanism grips the door striker, and the actuator sends mechanical force to change the lock position. It also cooperates with the interior handle and exterior handle so the door opens only when unlocked. A clean electrical signal and smooth gear movement are critical for fast, quiet locking.

Symptoms If It’s Failing

If this unit is worn or broken, the door may not lock/unlock, cycle repeatedly, or only work sometimes. You might hear clicking/buzzing, the handle may feel “dead,” or the door may not stay latched, which can trigger warning lights and drain the battery from repeated actuation attempts.
