This oil cooler keeps engine oil at a safe temperature under towing, off‑road, and hot‑weather use. Stable oil temperature protects viscosity, reduces sludge, and prevents bearing and turbo wear. It also helps keep idle smooth and extends engine life.

How it works ⚙️

Inside is a stacked‑plate heat exchanger. Hot oil passes through narrow channels and finned plates, while coolant flow or airflow removes heat. The design maximizes surface area, so heat moves out fast with minimal pressure drop. Sealed O‑rings and robust brazed joints prevent leaks and maintain oil pressure.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Expect rising oil temperature, pressure warning, burnt‑oil smell, and loss of power under load. A cracked core can leak oil, or cross‑contaminate coolant (milky fluid). Prolonged overheating leads to bearing scoring, turbo damage, and possible engine seizure.

Installation notes 🔧
