This precision sump section closes the lower crankcase, stores return oil, and stabilizes pressure during hard acceleration and cornering. Formed to OE geometry with rigid flanges and corrosion protection, it supports the pickup tube and keeps the lubricant where the pump can grab it reliably. Ideal for daily use and performance driving.

Why you need it 🔧

It seals the bottom of the engine, protects internals from debris, manages slosh with baffles, and provides a drain point. A healthy sump prevents aeration, keeps the pump primed, and maintains steady oil pressure—critical for long engine life.

How it works ⚙️

Oil returns to the sump, where internal walls guide flow away from the crank. The pickup sits just above the pan floor, fed by controlled channels. Proper clearances, reinforced rails, and a flat sealing surface ensure the gasket loads evenly and stays leak-free.

If it’s damaged or leaking ⚠️

Cracks, warping, or a stripped drain lead to drips, low level, foamy oil, and pressure warnings. Expect bearing wear, VVT noise, turbo starvation, and oil starvation under high Gs. Prolonged running can overheat the engine and seize it. Stop driving if the oil light appears.

Install tips ✅

Use a new gasket/sealant, clean mating faces, torque in stages, inspect the pickup O-ring, and refill with the correct viscosity. Verify no leaks after warm-up.
